FAQs

Can my students save their results to SeeSaw?

Yes. When the student reaches the end of the 'Check Up' page for a word list, a SeeSaw button will appear. When this is clicked, a new window on the browser will open.  The new window is a specially formatted version of the results that shows:-

  • Word list title

  • Date of check up

  • Score

  • Words to be learned (in alphabetical order)

This screen is actually a rendered photo which can be saved and uploaded to SeeSaw or another app.

MacBook and PC users

For Macbook and PCs, this file will automatically download to the downloads folder on the computer and be stored as a jpeg image file, using the date and list number as the file name for easy reference. The student can add this file to SeeSaw by adding a new photo through the SeeSaw app and selecting the photo from the downloads folder.

iPad Users

iPads do not support the auto download. Once the student presses the 'SeeSaw' button, a new window is created with a rendered image version of the results. When this screen appears, a screen capture can be taken to the iPad camera roll.  This photo can be uploaded to the student's SeeSaw account. (See note below.)

iPad Screen Capture Method

1) Press and hold both the 'Home' button and the 'Power' button simultaneously.

2) Release both buttons at the same time.

A screen shot will be made which can be saved to the iPad camera roll.  Once there, the students can up load their results to SeeSaw, in the same way that they would upload any other photos of work to SeeSaw.

Important note: Pop ups need to be allowed for the iPad image capture to work successfully. If you do not wish to do this, the students can easily write down the words for learning from their results screen.
